Drake’s passage is the foreboding gatekeeper that divides the last bit of south America from the Antarctic continent. With terrible weather, colliding current streams and absolutely no land to calm the water, it is a rough 400 mile stretch. I only hoped to see icebergs and penguins. Other than that, I harbored no concept as to what may await, no feel for the geography, the politics, and perhaps more than anything else, no idea of the sheer power of Antarctica.

While prior to setting sail we had been intimidated by the potential rage of Drake’s Passage, the sea gods were kind on the trip out.Sailing for home, however, the passage was clearly the terrible place we?d been told about. Our first morning in Antarctica was met with a grey, calm sea. Your one-stop resource on antarctica cruise ship is waiting for you.

All we could see off in the distance were gray-brown mountains covered in snow, but soon enough we had our first ice sighting. Small sections of ice rested on the water like frozen marshmallows.I grabbed my camera and threw on the bright red parka the ship had supplied. Then I hurried out into the polar air.

We had spent the day rushing outside whenever anyone spotted a whale, dolphin, or penguin. We’d also listened to lectures the ship’s naturalist provided. Passing by the huge ice blocks in our tiny inflatable raft was truly thrilling. We were finally on our way to shore. Penguins lined the shoreline and contemplated the water. They stood on an icy, rocky island and considered us as we floated by.

Suddenly, we found ourselves surrounded by penguins. A group of researchers shared this bit of land in Paradise Harbor with these disheveled and gentle little penguins. Many waddled about very purposefully in every direction. Some of the penguins seemed to enjoy watching us as much as we were enjoying watching them. Because of their age, the majority of penguin chicks were now on their own. Some of the chicks were decidedly in denial about this. The birds eat krill from the ocean, and have had it regurgitated directly into their mouths by their parents until recently. Further resources about adventure antarctica cruises are located there.

They?d also started to molt. Because some of the gray down still remained in hard to reach spots, the birds looked as if they were wearing earmuffs or hats. Others looked like they?d let a three year-old cut their hair. As we made our way back to the ship, we navigated through some of the ice floating through the bay. We even passed right by a jagged icy mountain on which a loan seal was stretching itself. Seeing him and his huge, pink tongued yawn [perhaps an editorial comment on how much he cared about us] was the perfect ending to a really wonderful day.

Penguins are always so very charming. The waddle brought smiles to all of our faces. Their appearance of wearing formal tuxedos is a funny paradox with their clown-like webbed, orange feet. Because these islands were less dirt and more rock or ice, the penguins tended to be very clean and neat looking. And to make them even more fashionable, they had a thin black line under their chins, giving them the impression of round cheeks.

Problems In The Last Frontier Of Earth, a travel article from Emmett Travel Deals Online

Like a monument to the end of Antarctica’s age of innocence, the cruise ship’s badly gashed orange hull rises out of ice blue waters. Penguins calmly perch atop the overturned vessel, unaware of the danger in thin oily sheen on the water around them. The tens of thousands of diesel fuel gallons that poured through the shipwreck has evaporated since however, more is leaking out gradually.

Times are changing at Earth’s last frontier. Numerous aircraft, ships, bulldozers and even amphibious trucks are constantly being dispatched by the countries that aim to reinforce their claim to a piece of this Frozen Continent. With fanfare that runs through their respective nations, bases are built and research projects are launched. Austral summer time’s weeks are laden with well heeled tourists coming in by the hundreds after being carried in vehicles arranged by specialized travel agencies ranging from military transport planes, supply vessels or cruise ships. You’ll get further resources on Antarctica Tours by visiting there.

Even private yachts and polar skiing expeditions are venturing into the last place on Earth where no passport is needed. Multitudes of accident have occurred and are still bound to occur and like the case of the oil spill caused by the sunken cruise liner, the wildlife of Antarctic has to pay the price and this a very unfortunate fact, luring in growing questions on politics, legalities and environment, the way many dangerous icebergs abound throughout Antarctica’s seas which are hardly charted. The continent of Antarctica belongs to no one so no laws apply to it, as stated in the Antarctic Treaty.

In 1961, the pact was signed by exactly a dozen nations who consented to shedding their territorial claims temporarily for at least 30 years and dedicate Antarctica to peaceful research study efforts. Eighteen nations hold observer status while eight countries have since joined the treaty and were given full voting powers. Among the treaty nations, there are meetings held every two years. The group succeeded in drafting a plan that will allow strictly regulated exploration and exploitation of the frozen continent’s vase resources of minerals. It comes as a shock that it now has to answer to many challenges thrown its way such as concerns on base proliferation, indemnification, marine and air safety, as well as facilities for medical and rescue operations.

Come the austral summer season, over 30 ships scheduled to head to Palmer usher in about a hundred tourists. Tourism is hardly controlled and people even think it often goes out of control. The past year saw a brief ban on tourists caused by the Science Foundation who firmly thinks that tourists deter the process of research. But with influential citizens in America demanding to know how the tax money they paid were used, the ban was lifted immediately. If you need more details on Antarctica Holiday visit there.

The station’s staff includes a medical corpsman with a small one room clinic for treating the two to four dozen people at the base. Handling disasters in the sea is certainly not its forte. Fair weather will never lead to a catastrophe, share the workers in the station. The sunken cruise ship had lifeboats which were just open rafts sans the oars and motors it should have. Being a calm day, this can be pulled back without much effort back to shore with just typical work boats. But they could have overturned or been blown out to sea if the volatile Antarctic weather had taken a turn for the worse, the workers said.

As a response to the poisonous tragedy, the National Science Foundation released civilian pollution control experts along with navies hauling in specialized equipment heavy at 52 tons. Two million dollars were spent for the mission. Chilean and Argentinian navies come to clean up missions and these cost a lot. The clean up did not suffice for the submerged ship still had around 63,000 gallons that couldn’t possibly be siphoned or reached, so even as the cleaning lasted until mid March, there is a huge chance it will keep poisoning life as the wreckage disintegrates and the chance gets higher if a winter storm rages in that area. Experts maintain that too much would be spent on trying to haul away the wreckage.

The area affected by the spill is brimming with birds like penguins, cormorants, Arctic terns and skuas. Through the bay, lots of whales and seas pass through. Science experts have revealed the indirect evidence on penguin and bird deaths due to the poisonous leak, but in terms of the extent of the damage, they have yet to establish that. A special team of 15 researchers from the United States, Argentina and Chile has arrived to begin a comprehensive study on the spill’s environmental impact. There is not a possibility for damage claims and it will also take years before it is over.

Because the United States of America holds no property rights to the area at or around Palmer Station, they will lose in their fight to seek compensation the area of the catastrophe on the Antarctic Peninsula but only the countries Great Britain, Chile and Argentina. Chile recently announced plans to propose, at the next Antarctic Treaty, an article to hold each country financially responsible for environmental or other damages. Pushing for a cost sharing agreement for the clean up missions on spills and disasters is something being undertaken by the Science Foundation while their hands are full in forming an international coordinating office for emergencies and disasters.

Many of the most experienced travelers in the world still perceive the continent of Antarctica as a mysterious, distant land. Scientific labs are scattered across its huge, black void. What most don’t realize is how unique Antarctica is.For one thing, war and even weapons have been banned there by agreement of the world’s nations, the United States included.

More than 163 years after being discovered in the early 1800’s by sealers, Antarctica is still a whole continent that is almost entirely unfamiliar to people. It is a very large continent, as big as both Mexico and the United States combined. As big as Antarctica is, nearly ninety-eight percent of its mass is trapped underneath a colossal glacial mass. One measure of Antarctica’s uniqueness is that its resources are virtually untouched.Further resources about antarctica cruise ships are located there.

Among these resources which are trapped beneath a thick layer of ice are krill, which are rich in protein, oil from offshore locations, and minerals. The peacefulness of Antarctica is one of its most particular components. It as been amicably presided over for quite some time, which will hopefully remain unchanged by any imminent political forces.

Between the 1920s and the 1940s, it was a continent that saw competition between various nations. The cold and the storms and the dark finally convinced those governments that it would be too costly to fight in Antarctica. The continent is just too menacing to support military involvement. The reigning peace in Antarctica was formalized by the formation of the Antarctic Treaty in 1859.

Twelve nations were in Antarctica for the International Geophysical Year of 1957-1958. These same 12 nations concluded the document known as The Antarctic Treaty, a short document. The most important international and national goal of pursuing science and how to function in the extremes of Antarctica on a peaceful basis was established during the first International Geophysical Year. Here is further info on Recommended Antarctica Cruises.

Included in the treaty is the demilitarization of the entire continent. The only reason a military force or army can be deployed to Antarctica would be to aid scientific exploration. The treaty further forbade all military maneuvers, together with all testing of atomic weaponry and any storage of radioactive waste. The agreement further has a clause allowing unilateral on-site inspection, which is the only such arms control treaty provision in force.Under the treaty, a scientific expedition has complete permission to go anywhere on the continent despite any claims that may have been made by any nation, so no area is off-limits – even in Antarctica’s offshore water regions.

To this point, the United Nations has had no direct involvement in Antarctica. The countries that signed the Antarctic Treaty have in fact discouraged any actions by the United Nations. The extremely sensitive use of resources that are now being discussed by the participating nations, environment protection, science, and exploration have the treaty members feeling very comfortable with the fine system of management in place.

Not too long ago, political observers feared that Antarctica would play some kind of a role in the Southern Hemisphere between developing and wealthy industrial nations. Today though, a different phenomenon has begun to take shape.A number of the significant industrializing nations, a few of them in the Latin America group, as well as China and India, have stated that they wish to sign on to the Antarctic Treaty.

Some Latin American countries have already recently become a part of the treaty as “acceding powers.”Although they are not allowed to vote, since they do not have scientific endeavors in the continent, they consent to be governed by the rules. In this way, the industrializing nations do not remain outside the tent hurling rocks at it, but instead are included under the big tent.

Think About Going On A Cruise: Family Merriment And Exotic Caribbean Beaches, a travel article from Emmett Travel Deals Online

Deciding to take a cruise with your family might be just the thing you need. Cruises are renowned for their convenient and totally customizable experience, so if you’re looking for a quick getaway, a cruise may be the best option. All you need to do is apply for your passport, grab the sunscreen and a bikini, and you are ready to go.

Cruises are one of the travel industry’s best kept secrets. The perks that come along with taking a cruise might make you wish you could cruise to your mother-in-law’s house, as opposed to taking an overcrowded airplane or enduring a 14 hour car drive. Cruises are required to follow very strict safety codes, and this keeps you and your family safe. A 24-hour security team is constantly on patrol, meaning a woman can go on a midnight stroll, hit her favorite bar, or explore anywhere on deck without fear. Your children are protected too with fun and educational supervised activities that are always available.

The cruise experience includes an huge array of fun activities for you and your family. Everyday provides a new opportunity, so the only problem is deciding what you want to try first. Adults can hit nightclubs and bars, while children can watch movies and play games. There are arts and crafts, dance lessons, lectures, and entertainment available everyday. The restaurant diversity is also worth noting. Whether you decide on a candlelit dinner for two or a fun night for the entire family, there is a plethora of options available. With so many options, this ensures no two people on a cruise have the exact same experience.

Passport prices are going up, so for many, the cost of a vacation ends up being to much, especially for large families. With the breach of the $100 point, the cost of a passport can ultimately discourage a family from taking a much needed get away. However, there is another option. The passport card, first created on July 14, 2008, is a cheaper, more family friendly way to travel, especially for cruise vacations. At only $30, it ends up being a fraction of the price of a regular passport, but comes with very similar benefits. A passport card can be used for land or sea travel between the United States and Mexico, Canada, Bermuda, and the Caribbean, allowing for a variety of travel opportunities.

Sometimes the stress of booking a plane, a hotel, a rental car, gas, food, and entertainment can be too overwhelming for a family, thus making vacation something to dread. Cruising allows you get everything under one price, creating a convenient and comfortable vacation experience. With everything clumped together, you and your family can relax without having to worry about exorbitant extra costs. This sort of one-stop shopping makes booking a cruise easy.

Sometimes you just need to get away. A cruise is the symbol of convenience, all you need is a passport or pass port card and a sense of adventure, and you are ready. Swim with dolphins, see a beautiful Caribbean sunset, or just sunbathe on deck, whatever you want to do is there, and the way to get there is easy for you and your family. Just apply for your pasport, put on your bikini, and set sail.

A lot of people are now choosing to have destination weddings where they combine their wedding and their honeymoon into one trip. This is a great option for the couple who does not want a huge wedding and perhaps only have their closest friends and family go to the special occasion. This is very popular for 2nd marriages and more mature couples. A lot of couples may want to get married in a place where they had a specialnice vacation as well or maybe the spot where the engagement took place. Getting married on a cruise ship is another kind of destination wedding that is popular now. This article will explore the various cruise line options for weddings and the logistics such as getting from the airport using Port Canaveral transportation or wedding limo service Orlando.

The 1st cruise line is called Carnival cruise lines. They are a favorite cruise line that has cruises all over including the Caribbean, Mexico and other locations too. They are known for being more affordable than most of the other ships while maintaining a good level of service for those on board. For the more budget minded couple, this may be a perfect choice where they have 3 various wedding packages to get married on board with varying degrees of things included such as floral arrangements, the the number of guests at the wedding, and photography as a few of the examples. They also have the destination choice where you can have your wedding ceremony on one of the tropical locations where the boat stops for those who do not wish to be married on board.

The 2nd cruise line is Norwegian Cruise line and that has been around since 1966 and they are best known for the Freestyle cruise which states there are no set times to eat or assigned seating for meals and no formal attire is needed on a Norwegian cruise. They also have a variety of wedding packages but all of them include a wedding planner to assist you with all of the details, flowers, champagne, music and photography whether it is on board or at one of the stops along the way. This cruise line appeals to those that wish for a more relaxed, less structured cruise experience.

Another cruise ship is the Princess cruise line that the old favorite TV program, The Love Boat was based on. This is the only cruise line that provides their own wedding chapel on board the ship to accommodate the several couples who want to be married on board. This is the most popular choice versus getting married at one of the destinations but that may also be done on Princess Cruise line as well for those who have always dreamed of a beach wedding. The wedding packages have the unique wedding cam that provides a live feed on the internet for those loved ones who could not go on the cruise and may watch the wedding happen live.

What better way to go on a great trip and be more romantic than being married at sea? There is a cruise line for everyone.

There is probably not a more beautiful or romantic place in the world than the Greek islands. To charter your own private yacht and sail around and explore this picturesque area of the world would be a dream come true to many.

As a matter of fact there are actually quite a few privately owned yachts that will allow you to charter their boats in and around Greece. There are smaller yachts, just right for you and your lover, or larger yachts where you could host several family members or friends. There is also the option of reserving a space aboard a yacht where you could make new friends.

If you are looking for a more private and romantic vacation yacht charter Greece is a great choice. Impersonal cruise ships cannot offer the privacy or options of the smaller crewed charter yachts. After making a reservation, the yacht chef or captain may contact you via e-mail to take your food requests.

The huge ocean liners have to handle hundreds of guests and stick to a strict itenerary and meals. Before boarding your private yacht charter greece, you will be sent a questionaire to fill out, where you can request the meals and snackes of your choice and these items will be stocked in the ship’s pantry. This is an important feature for those that may have special food needs.

If you can, it is best to plan on at least ten days to two weeks if possible. There are over 10,000 miles of coastline and around 1,500 islands, with so many wonderful islands to explore all offering so many exciting things to see and experience.

You can enjoy shopping for pieces of art and antiques. You could scuba or skin
dive and view the sea life that live in this area. Fishing from your charter yacht Greece can provide you with the main ingredient for the evening meal. Just imagine freshly caught fish, prepared by your personal chef, eaten al fresca on the deck of your private yacht. Mmmmm…. Ahhhh…. I am ready to call and make my reservation today!

If this sounds like the vacation of a lifetime, it is. If you consider to charter a yacht, you would be wise to do so early. These charters get booked quickly.

The prices and fees should be posted for these yachts on their websites. A personal testimony is best. If you know of anyone who has booked a yacht, ask about their experience, with the booking company, the owners, or the crew.

How Cruise Ship Furniture Makes a Difference, a travel article from Emmett Travel Deals Online

All those people who’re in charge of maintaining and redecorating cruise ships have got a great deal on their plate. They have plenty to consider, particularly as the sheer volume of visitors making use of the ship’s facilities and also the cruise ship furniture. These difficulties are further compounded by the fact that cruise ships hardly ever stay vacant for long, and therefore any kind of repairs or improvements should be completed speedily, in advance of when the next party of holiday makers arrives.

This is just one reason why picking out cruise ship furniture is so incredibly important. Managers understand that holiday makers who have paid a lot of money to be able to spend time unwinding on the cruise ship hold the right to expect every little thing to be perfect. They also understand that should these visitors be disappointed with their holiday on board the cruise ship then the cruise carrier’s standing is at risk of getting destroyed. The people who are tasked with selecting cruise ship furniture, therefore, should be sure it is up to scratch.

In the first place there is the problem associated with picking furniture which is in-keeping with the idea the business is attempting to produce. If the sought after atmosphere is one associated with fashion and class, then the furniture need to echo that. Similarly, if the business is aiming for a soothing and relaxed atmosphere then comfortable furniture is the obvious selection.

Following the problems with the first choice of furniture, decision makers must contemplate the spending budget. They don’t have endless amounts of money to spend on cruise ship furniture, so they will be expected to research prices and pick out wisely.

Likewise, the finances won’t extend to changing or mending furniture regularly. Therefore decision makers should be convinced they have decided on reliable furniture which will be long lasting. The furniture must be tough and able to withstand lots of usage.

The furniture on cruise ships will genuinely help to shape the visitors’ views of their holiday and also the cruise business. Shabby or tatty furniture that has fallen into disrepair or is scratched really generates a terribly unfavorable impression, therefore it is certainly well worth searching round to be sure the furniture is of a great enough quality.

Cruising to Antarctica takes a lot of planning and decision making. You want to pick a cruise ship that provides for all your needs on the trip. All Antarctic cruises have advantages and this article explains how they can help decide which suits you best.

It is important for you to know what size Antarctic cruise ship you want for the trip. You can take about 50 to 100 people on a smaller seagoing vessel. Big ships have no problem carrying between 200 and 3000 persons. Compare the upsides and drawbacks when selecting a decent Antarctic tour ship. cruises to antarctica

Most of the games and amusements done on land can also be found on cruise vessels. There is a pool for relaxing as well as casinos and gyms as alternative options for entertainment. A doctor is available to see you if you are sick as well as a place to get primped. Small ship Antarctica cruises tend to be warmer than their large ship counterpart.

Large ships seldom reach the banks. It is because of the large number of tourists they hold and the limits imposed by environmental laws. If sightseeing is your idea of a great vacation then a cruise might not be the right fit. You need to review the regulations on cruise lines if you want to go ashore and are traveling via larger vessels. Cruise lines also have a short timeframe for staying berthed at various areas.

There is more time for exploration and enjoyment aboard smaller ships with frequent stopovers. They are anchored close to bank which means more time for you to see wildlife and visit distant sites. There are also fewer people to worry about. great antarctic cruise

The reception is warmer on a smaller cruise ship. Cruise staff and passengers are also easy to adjust to. Pursue your hobbies like mountain hiking and scuba diving or other activities while cruising. No payment is required to see a physician in the clinic aboard smaller vessels. This feature is not free on larger vessels.

Protection and security are prime considerations. Ice ratings for minor ships are generally high. They are reinforced for the ice so it is easier to avoid damage from icebergs and related obstacles. Ask if the cruise vessel features complete equipment for taking care of emergency cases. Seagoing vessels have regulations to satisfy and this is one of them.

Traveling on smaller vessels can enlighten you in different ways. Your experience is made more colorful by info provided by Antarctica historians about the region. It is important to look for a company that specialized in Antarctica Cruises. You up your odds of having an enjoyable trip this way. Small and big vessels are not the same and if you know how one is different from the other it will be easier for you to pick the most suitable choice. You would definitely want a memorable cruise experience.

Passport Applications For Cruises Are A Necessity, a travel article from Emmett Travel Deals Online

Going on cruises has always been fun. It is a traveling party that never seems to stop. Regardless of whether the boat is in some exotic port or traveling the high seas to the next destination, there is always something going on. However, knowing about expedited US passports for cruises is always recommended for anyone getting ready to travel in this manner.

The traveler that is only traveling within the United States borders will still not need a passport. International travel, regardless of where it goes, will generally require that every passenger has a passport in order to be able to get off of the boat in the varying countries. It is always best to do some research and see exactly what travel laws are pertinent to the trip that is being considered.

First and foremost, everyone needs to understand that many of the travel laws have changed quite dramatically over the last year or so. Prior to June 2009, there was no need to have a passport to travel to places like Mexico or Canada. Because of many of the events over the last ten years or so, these rules have now changed.

Obviously, passports are required for any cruise that has an international final destination. This also applies to all border countries. For example, a passport would be necessary for a one-way cruise from Miami to Cancun, although round-trip cruises have different laws.

Additionally, any cruise that starts in another country would require the use of a passport. This should be pretty obvious because a cruise starting in another country often requires international air travel. There are never exceptions for the need of a passport when it comes to air travel. Passports are also now required for all border crossings, so a passport is necessary for any cruise departing from an international port.

Currently, there are cruises available that are known as “closed loop.” Basically, this means that the cruise starts at one point and returns to the very same point. This is actually what most of us would end up going on, unless we were taking a ship to move to another country. Because these voyages start and end in the same port, there are rules in place that pertain to only this type of travel.

Passports are generally not required for closed loop cruises. In place of passports for cruises deemed closed loop, adult passengers are only required to bring a valid driver’s license and birth certificate. Closed loop voyage passport and document exemption laws only pertain to travel from a U.S port to ports in Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, the Virgin Islands, and select Caribbean Islands. Anyone unsure of the passport requirements for closed loop cruises to certain Caribbean Islands should consult with the cruise company, their travel agency or the State Department website. Anyone that has a passport would be wise to bring it along just in case.

It is always smart to read up on where the trip is going to see if US passports for cruises are required for that specific trip. Now as we said, even if expedited American passports are not required, it may be a smart move to at least have a passport card when traveling anywhere outside the United States. It is better to be safe than sorry and having extra documentation is never a bad thing for a traveler.

During the wintertime when the snow is piled up around your door and the roads are thick with ice, you might not be thinking about booking an Alaskan cruise. After all , enough cold winter temperatures are enough. You’ll find, however, that if you’ve ever considered taking a cruise to Alaska, now is the best time to book it. You will find much better rates if you book now for a May trip than you can get later on or for cruises during the summer months. If you never thought afantastic holiday like this was in your future, have a look at some of the discount cruise sites, and you’ll find Alaskan cruise deals that will make your fantasy afact.

You can plan to take a great May excursion on the Norwegian Star. A 7-day cruise starts for as little as $449 per head in a two-passenger occupancy inside cabin. What this means is that you will not have a view of the ocean from your cabin as you would in any of the other rooms. If you’d like a room with a porthole and a view of the ocean, you can select asea view cabin for $499. Of course, there are lots of more expensive options such as a romance suite, a penthouse, or a garden villa. The higher up the scale you go, and the more space you need, naturally, the more your accommodations will cost.

On a Norwegian Star cruise ship, you will find nine dining options that are included in your ticket price where you can eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You could decide to have pizza for lunch and elegant Oriental cuisine for dinner. Other decisions include a steakhouse, a French bistro, Italian cuisine, and fine dining. Of course, you’ll have to keep in mind that some of the specialty dining options are subject to cover charges of between $10 and $30 per individual. Irrespective of what, the food you will get onboard the ship will be superb.

By heading off to the Norwegian Cruises website, you will find consumer reviews that tell you what folk who have taken the cruises truly thought of the experience. You’ll need to read thru them to see if you are inquisitive about the trip they are describing. Be certain and book early , however , because you require the best Alaskan cruise deals available.
.

It’s exciting to embark on a cruise, and if you’re about ready to enjoy your first cruise, there are some important tips you should know to make the most of your trip. First-timers sometimes don’t know what to expect on a cruise, so learning a few handy tricks can help everything go a little smoother. Consider the following tips, and keep them in mind as you begin your cruising adventure.

A few things could take you by surprise. For example, bring along a small travel alarm clock; surprisingly, many ships don’t put these in the room as standard. Even if you’re going to a toasty tropical locale, bring along a warm sweater or cardigan to wear over your clothes when you are cold. The air conditioning can sometimes blow a little hard for many tastes, and you can avoid having to get a sweater while on your trip. Don’t forget your photo ID and travel documents, of course!

Bring a carry-on bag with you when you depart, include items needed for your first day. You’re not the only one boarding the ship, of course, and there may be some delay in getting your baggage to your room. Grab your swimsuit and put it in there, as well, so there’s no delay if you want to take a dip. Though it may be tempting, it’s a good idea to avoid the ship’s shops right off the bat. Window shop if you must, but be patient before spending money. Oftentimes, the stores will have sales and discounts after the first few days on the cruise.

Some cruise ships allow you to bring your own beverages on board (non-alcoholic), so check with your cruise company. Don’t be shocked if you see experienced cruisers wheeling up with a few 12-packs of Coke! You can save a lot of money by bringing your own soft drinks, instead of paying the premium price they tend to charge on board ships.

So now you have some quick tips to make your cruise as great as possible. Have fun!
